Remember the house we decided to buy and then thought we couldn't get because it was in a flood zone?

!!! UNKNOWN CONTENT TYPE !!!

Flood insurance is $20.00 a month. And I know the area. It doesn't flood. So, we bought it. We close tomorrow.

Did you know that packing and moving is a giant pain in the ass? Holy hell I'm about to have an anxiety attack here. There's so much to do and so much we have already done. Feels like it'll never get done. But, it felt that way when we moved to our current house as well.

Kinja'd!!! Kinja'd!!! Kinja'd!!! Kinja'd!!!

TL;DR I hate packing and moving. And I realize it's a first world problem. A problem nonetheless.

Yes, I still have stuff at my parents, my old house (now a rental), and a coworker in the neighborhood (baby seat because he needed to bum a ride.

And my wife wants a micro home

I don't envy you moving one bit. Having to sort and then pack everything and so on and so on, etc...

Next time I move I'll start from scratch. Other than a few odds and ends everything else will be bought new and the old stuff given away or burned.

I've moved 10 times in the last 15 years, mostly long distance. Eventually I gave up organizing and packing and just pay someone else to do it. So not worth the stress and time.

There is a 99% chance that I am moving in a couple of months, and I am dreading everything to the packing, to the fact that I will probably have to pull a boat with my 4Runner for 400 miles...

Congratulations! I share your pain. It's stressful but exciting all at the same time. When my family and I moved from NY my dad's company paid for a moving company to do it. Then a few years after living in Texas we had to move out of that house and had to pack our things in a short time frame. It was crazy. We're planning on buying a house very soon, and I'm already thinking how much fun it'll be to move. Especially with the new house's layout. It will not be fun to get large items up the stairs.

Good luck with the move, hope it goes well. You'll love having a garage.

Congrats. Started looking at homes too. Found one with a 3 car garage in our price range. Down side is by the time we're ready to buy it'll probably be snatched up.

Every five years, it seems like, my wife and I end up moving. And every five years we say "moving sucks....We're never doing that again". But yet...

Congrats and good luck!
